Our highly anticipated debut EP is released!

Read one review of Parables below from 'The Front Row'

With the continued growth in popularity of melodic metal, it’s no surprise that there’s an increasing number of bands setting out onto the scene with a desire to share their wares with the world. Oddly though, a large number of these bands appear to be setting up in Wales, birth place of Lost Prophets and Bullet For My Valentine, and breaking out onto the UK scene.

One such outfit is All To Ruin, a melodic metal outfit who are scheduled to release their debut EP, Parables, on Monday September 23rd. Honing their skills in the Newport Nottin’ Pill Studio alongside Martyn ‘Ginge’ Ford and Matt Bond (Slipknot, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine), All To Ruin have been pushing hard to get their sound out there, touring with the likes of Sylosis and Revoker whilst continuing to develop their outlook and approach.

As Parables kicks into being with “As We Exit” the wall of sound that launches us into the record is incredible, immediately setting the tone for the remainder of the EP and demonstrating more than a solid understanding of their craft. Harking back to the early days of Killswitch Engage and Funeral For A Friend, the level of understanding here is clear, taking melodic metal, making it their own and crafting a sound that will be instantly recognisable every time it’s heard. Even managing to focus more heavily on the melodic side of things for “A Part Of A Line,” the variety throughout this EP is astounding, revealing a band with experience well beyond their years, and securing them a slot amongst this years ‘must hear’ records.

Other key moments on the EP are “The King Is Dead” with its rolling drums and soaring vocal lines, and “Vultures,” a track which seems to almost showcase the bands style in one fell swoop, leaving the listener unable to resist from start to finish. Demonstrating once and for all that melodic metal is still alive and kicking, and that All To Ruin are flying its flag high and proud.

Don’t go into All To Ruin assuming you’re in for a standard dose of softened down metal-core – got into Parables with an open mind and prepare to be amazed.

Rating: 9.5/10
